Hi. My name is John and I live in Australia I recently purchased an Oryx mini action chassis to suit a Howa 1500 in 204 caliber. The advertisement Stated that the mini barrelled action would be a “drop In fit” to the Oryx chassis . As much as the aseathetics and the strength of the chassis is unquestionable I do question the fit of the barreled action into the chassis Action screw holes are perfect however the rear tang of the receiver sits 3+mm above chassis and the recoil lug “rides” on the bottom of the recoil inlet in the chassis . This has created a see saw motion with the barreled action when placing it in the chassis with the bottom of the recoil lug being the pivot point. Accuracy is poor. I phoned my supply to discuss They assured me the chassis I received is correct . If that’s the case your product has a bit to be desired certainly in my Case anyway Further more the front action screw “bottoms out” on the recoil lug when tight not allowing the action to be securely tightened to the chassis . Without me having to mill out the recoil inlet in the chassis another 50 Th or so deeper ,do you have answer to my problem
